Are you looking for ways to introduce coding to your middle school students? Explore the Intro to Coding resource in Learning Blade with a South Carolina teacher using the course to support their computer science instruction. The course was designed to provide an easy way to introduce middle school students to coding and contains 20-hours of online and offline student learning including robust teacher lesson plans. Online lessons include topics such as the role of computers in society, concepts of basic algorithms, text-based code elements including statements, variables, and comments, and many more. Educators will leave this session with the knowledge to implement Intro to Coding with students on and offline. The session includes active discussion, a live demo of the resource, as well as a review of how teachers across the state helped their students learn about high-demand STEM, CTE, and Computer Science careers.
