26. Become ServSafe Certified

This session is designed to provide an opportunity for teachers to earn the ServSafe Manager Certification in addition to becoming a ServSafe Instructor and/or Proctor. You will receive your ServSafe book prior to the conference to give you an opportunity to study the materials before attending the session. During the session you will receive all the necessary information to successfully complete the examination. The ServSafe Manager Certification provides all that you need to test your students for the Food Handler or Manager Certification. You will receive information on how to test your students and how to set up for the examinations. This is the session to attend!

Career and Technical Education offers student opportunities to earn certifications that they can use in the real world. ServSafe is one of the certifications recognized by the Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism, Family and Consumer Sciences and Early Childhood related industries. Students are often hired on the spot or receive a pay raise if they are already employed. The training will include content specific training from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch. Participants will have two hours to take the test beginning at 3:00 p.m.
