Education and Business Summit 2023

In 2022, AIKEN WORKS/Aiken County Public School District collaborated with numerous community organizations to host our first annual Career and College Night event. This event was primarily designed for students in Grades 9 - 12 and their parents. The event was also open to any other students and their parents from lower grade levels, if they choose to attend. Our event was also open to the students/parents from neighboring counties. During the event, students and parents were able to explore and connect with employers, business, CTE programs, community resources, military recruiters, trade schools, technical colleges, and four-year colleges/universities. During the evening, there were scholarship drawings that came from monetary donations from area business and employers. This session will showcase our event and share the process used to collaborate, design, and produce a successful event.
