Discover how districts, technical centers, community colleges, and universities across the nation have taken their workforce development programs and CTE labs through creative approaches that include augmented and virtual reality. This session will feature Ben Peterson, former CTE Director at North East ISD, who has taken a unique approach to workforce preparedness with his students. Ben rotated students through real-world activities in Health Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, Agri-Science, and Transportation using AR/VR technology to expose students to multiple career pathways. From disassembling in a virtual auto shop to operating on human hearts in the medical field, learn how students are exploring career pathways, preparing for industry credentials, and gaining more experience prior to on-the-job training.
