A highly interactive session that prepares attendees to coach students on strategic skills to maximize their efforts before, during, and after any work-related experience. These critical networking and people skills will benefit students who participate in WBL, internships, apprenticeships, job-shadowing, and all part-time work. Session activities include coaching on how to “read the walls” of industry partners prior to arrival at work-related experiences. Attendees will also participate in activities that teach the “Art of Interest”, a valuable tool that students will use to engage with industry folks during their work-related opportunities. A final hands-on activity will address highly effective strategies for managing and growing professional relationships developed during work related experiences. All session attendees will receive an autographed copy of Chad Foster’s best-selling book, Career Readiness for Teens.
