152. Identifying Digital Accessibility Barriers at a Glance
Digital accessibility standards ensure that students and community members with disabilities or impairments can access, understand, and interact with educational materials in an equitable manner. This session will demonstrate non-technical means that educators can use to tell at a glance whether a website will have any major barriers to accessibility. These methods will also be directly applicable toward assessing the accessibility compliance of any digital documents, tools, or learning platforms the educator may create, use, or share.

107. Creating Accessible Multimedia Presentations: It Looks Pretty, But I Can't Hear It
61 million adults in the U.S. live with a disability. Who do your students live with? Most of us are now comfortable with teaching online and creating learning content for our students that will be posted online, and we work hard to make content attractive and engaging. Are you also checking to ensure that it is accessible? Can they find it on your website? Can they see it on their smartphones? Can they read and make sense of the captions? Join Lydia Hutto, Staff Technology Trainer at the South Carolina Department of Education in this session for a closer look at what we can all do to ensure that our multimedia presentations are accessible to everyone who surfs the Internet, including users of assistive technology.
