156. How to Build a Community Around Your Program: The Power of Outreach
This session provides you with a model for program outreach to K-12 students, teachers, and families.  We will discuss how to utilize outreach to build community support and awareness of your program and provide specific examples of how we have implemented our own outreach program, along with valuable lessons learned. By the end of the session, you will be able to identify ways your content areas may be extended to non-CTE high school students and students in grades K-8. Attendees will also identify ways in which outreach programs can build the skill set of our own CTE students.
