Ms. Major-Murphy has been an educator for over 23 years. She currently works with the SC Department of Education in the Office of Assessment and Standards providing districts with resources, supports, or guidance to improve teaching, learning, and assessment. Previously, she served as a school Principal, Assistant Principal of Instruction, and Assistant Principal in South Carolina school districts.  As a teacher, she taught business education to middle and high school students.  Ms. Major-Murphy has innumerable experiences related to student discipline, integrating research-based instructional practices with teachers, technology integration, and developing a school-wide culture of consistency and rigor.
