Melissa Murray is a veteran health science educator that has mentored many health science teachers around the state. Serving as the current South Carolina Health Science Educators Association's President, she has been actively involved in creating a hands-on learning experience for students and teachers. As an educator at Stratford High School, she has implemented numerous successful health care programs and certifications. Melissa has been one of handful of teachers to design and pilot a patient care tech and certified clinical medical assistant programs. Her students have gone on to many successful careers in the health care field. Melissa is known for her imaginative and out of the box thinking, she will tell you that although computers and apps are game changers in education, sometimes "going old school" engages the student in a more meaningful way.
