I live in Greenwood, South Carolina with my husband and two children. I am in my eighth year as the School Counselor at Ware Shoals High School. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing. I shifted gears shortly after graduation and became a secondary mathematics teacher. I taught mathematics as I completed my Master's in Professional School Counseling through Capella University.

My passion is working with students to help them realize their true potential and equip them to be ready for life. I enjoy helping them develop coping skills to handle life's challenges, leading them as they explore their strengths and interests, and assisting them as they plan their path toward a fulfilling life and career. I have put a considerable amount of effort into expanding the Career and Technical Education offerings at Ware Shoals High School. I am a firm believer in CTE and the positive influence it has on our students' lives. I was awarded the 2022 SC CTE School Counselor of the Year award, and I am honored to be speaking at the Education and Business Summit to share what our school district is doing to help our kids and community!
