Reneé is employed by Dorchester School District Two in Summerville, South Carolina, as the program coordinator for Dorchester County Adult Education. In addition to her day to day programmatic responsibilities, Reneé serves on various committees such as: the Trident Workforce Development Board’s Youth Advisory Committee; Integrated Business Service Team for the Trident Workforce Development Region; Dorchester County Career and Technology Center’s School Improvement Council (chair); Business and Industry Partner Liaison for Dorchester County Adult Education; inducted into the SC Department of Education Administration Hall of Fame for 2019-20, and was selected to represent South Carolina as the 2021 State Advocate for Adult Education, just to name a few. As the Adult Education State Advocate, Renee’ spent the past two years meeting with legislators on the national, state, and local levels advocating for much needed resources and funding for Adult Education in South Carolina and the nation.  As a result of Renee’s efforts and advocacy work, she was selected as the recipient of the 2022 National Award for Outstanding Local Excellence in Advocacy Award in Seattle, Washington on April 13, 2022.
